MOTHER TO MOTHER SUPPORT GROUP
This weekly group is aimed at English speaking expectant mums and mums with newborns up to 9 months old. It is held on Friday mornings from 9.30am – 11.00am.
Life with a new baby can be a huge change and this group provides a welcome place for mothers to meet and discuss everything that having a new baby brings.
Each Friday a topic of conversation is prepared by the host ranging from life changes to infant weaning and development. The group offers the chance to relax with other mums and get great practical advice for families living in this area.
The group is hosted by Margaret McSherry M.A, RN, RM. Margaret is a member and volunteer of the Playgroup Programme. She has worked as a midwife in the UK and overseas and leads this group on a ´non professional´ basis. She is also the mother of 3 children so, as well as midwifery experience, she has plenty family experience to share.
This group is free to Playgroup Programme members, so if you are not a current member, please click here to join.
The group is informal, so there is no obligation to attend every week – which can be a challenge with a newborn! Group members are emailed in advance informing them of the discussion topic to be covered at the next meeting.
